What is GlamGlitch?...

To demonstrate how the media influences women to achieve the ideal skin tone, I choose skin bleaching, skin toning, and tanning product advertisements posted on the Internet and glitch the ads to produce a new image.  The glitch I create in the images represents the chaos or digital noise that is placed in advertisements and contemporary media.  Additionally, the glitch also represents a moshing of all skin tones.  The glitch scrambles the pixels in the images and blends, or erases, the skin tone pigments.  It also forces the viewer to look past skin color and focus on the image itself.
